Warhol Foundation Announces Fall 2024 Grant Recipients
The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has unveiled the list of recipients for its highly anticipated fall 2024 grants. This year, a total of $4.1 million will be distributed among forty-seven visual arts organizations and institutions. These entities are spread across twenty-one states in the United States and include two foreign institutions.
First-Time Grantees and Returning Recipients
Among the grant recipients are twenty-seven small and midsize organizations, with thirteen of them being first-time grantees. Notable first-time recipients include the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art in Chicago, Ogden Contemporary Arts in Utah, and the Center for Craft in North Carolina. These organizations are being recognized for their unique contributions to the art world.
Returning recipients include Midway Contemporary Art in Minneapolis and DiverseWorks in Houston, which have both been instrumental in fostering experimental art and supporting emerging artists.
Exhibitions and Curatorial Research Fellowship
Several exhibitions have been selected for support, showcasing a diverse range of artistic talent and cultural perspectives. These exhibitions include “Imagining an Archipelago” at the Colby College Museum of Art, “All Manner of Experiments” at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, and “Textiles as Monument” at the Fowler Museum.
Curatorial research fellowships have also been awarded to individuals who are delving into the complexities of art and representation. Miss Tiger and Alinta Sara are among the recipients exploring the artistic significance of various cultural themes.
